Sound Steps is pleased to offer Nordic walking programs this summer for all levels of walkers. Come to one event or both, just don’t miss your chance to Nordic Walk with us this summer!
Log Boom Park Get Together $5.00
Wednesday, July 13th 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
Nordic walkers and traditional walkers are invited to a fun group walk at Log Boom Park in Kenmore. South end pick-up at 8:30 am from Jefferson Community Center. North end pick-up at 8061 Densmore Ave N at 9 am. This park is situated on Lake Washington, with a picnic area and direct access to the Burke-Gilman Trail, where we will be walking. A limited number of loaner Nordic poles will be available. Please bring a lunch. Three ways to sign up:

Taste of Nordic Walking Free, drop-in
Wednesday, July 27th 9 am – noon
Bring a friend and drop by Maple Leaf Reservoir Park between 9 am and noon to try out this effective and fun way to exercise. Nordic walking uses special poles and engages the total body in movement against resistance. The calories burned by Nordic walking can be much greater than the calories burned by walking.
